Why the Nottingham Chabad Needs a Brocha

Hello my darlings!

As you may recall a few weeks ago, I wrote about Brocha Lent, the darling head of the Nottingham Chabad. With her husband Mendy and 4 gorgeous kids (1 recent new born!) they cater for the Nottingham community and above all, the students, getting over 100 people regularly for Friday night Shabbos! Can you imagine having over 100 people for Shabbos?! This is why they had to add a Sukkah-style marquee in their garden because their bungalow couldn’t cope! My spiel on Brocha Lent received over 5,000 views far and wide as people were so impressed with what she offers the students and the community. (inset: hosting a jungle themed party for Purim)

Anyhow, I got yet ANOTHER email this week from one of their students. In an unsuspected turn of events, their Landlord has requested his property back and now they need a new home to cater for their Nottingham Jewish students! And with little else around in Nottingham, they have found the ideal Bed and Breakfast Hotel which they can turn into a Jewish student paradise – and they need to do it FAST! (2 months to be exact, to raise £1 million).

Natalie Sawdaye, 3rd year student told me that “At Nottingham, Mendy and Brocha provide care and kindness like no other. They will always be there for you and they have worked so hard every single week to ensure that students get great food and activities. We really need help getting this hotel because it will provide 16 student rooms, a mikvah, dedicated area for talks and learning, a social room, a kosher goods store and a guest room for parents to visit. And it will be just 10 minutes from main campus!”

I realise that no one likes to be asked for money, but if you really care about Shabbos and the future of our Jewish students, I would be so grateful if you clicked on the following link and gave some tzedakah whether its big or small: Notts Chabad Building Campaign

G-d Bless you my boobalahs,
